Registration 2021

Good day RMHA families,

As we move throughout the summer, the RMHA is waiting to receive formal direction from HEO and the EOHU regarding the format for hockey this fall.  That being said, the RMHA continues to advance with our planning, and we remain hopeful that our 2021/2022 will be much closer to a traditional season, with some slight adjustments.

As the RMHA prepares to release our registration rates for 2021/2022 we wanted to take a moment to communicate some important changes for the coming season. As of now, the CIHA have increased their per-hour ice rental cost by 58%.  This translates to a significant increase for our association. In order to continue to offer the level of service, programming and player development which you are all accustomed to, the RMHA is now forced to increase our registration costs for the coming season.

As an association, the RMHA remains committed to providing recreation and allowing our young hockey players to have fun; fostering the best training possible for our youth in the short and long term; and in protecting and maintaining the interests of minor hockey.

Find below the new registration fees for all levels:

All registration payments can be done by contacting our Registrar Johanne Gamache AND our Treasurer Ross Outhwaite by email at registrar@rockland-nats.ca and treasurer@rockland-nats.ca . If you have already paid your 100$ deposit and/or still have an outstanding refund from last year, we encourage you to reach out to our treasurer in order to know what your balance is. We also want to let everyone know that we can accommodate payment plans but they must be discussed with the treasurer before being agreed upon.

Understanding that the last year has been difficult for a number of families within our community, the RMHA is committed to working with any family who needs support in paying registrations fees.  Moreover, for those families requiring assistance there are multiple programs which offer relief funding for players in sport, one such program would be Jumpstart which can be found at https://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca.
 
The RMHA also possesses a limited amount of new hockey equipment which can be used by players who are in need. If required, the association has gear available for prospective goalies (IP/U9/U11) and for players from IP to U11 (skates, helmets, gloves and sticks).

The RMHA will be working in participation with other local entities in hopes of lobbying the City of Clarence-Rockland and the CIHA to re-evaluate their rental costs.  Should any relief be provided by the CIHA the registration fees will be revised accordingly.  

Should any parent wish to support or contribute to the conversation regarding the ice rental fees and related registration increase, parents are encouraged to contact directly the CIH or your respective city councillor who’s contact details can be found on the City of Clarence-Rockland Website.

The RHMA will continue to inform parents throughout the summer as planning and preparation continues.  We are very excited for the 2021/2022 season so please stay informed via our numerous social media platforms.

Alors que nous nous déplaçons tout au long de l’été, l’AHMR attend de recevoir des directives officielles de HEO et du BSEO concernant le format du hockey cet automne. Cela étant dit, l’AHMR continue d’avancer dans notre planification, et nous gardons espoir que notre 2021/2022 sera beaucoup plus proche d’une saison traditionnelle, avec quelques légers ajustements.
Alors que l’AHMR se prépare à publier nos tarifs d’inscription pour 2021/2022, nous voulions prendre un moment pour communiquer certains changements importants pour la saison à venir. À l’heure actuelle, le CIHA a augmenté de 58 % son coût horaire de location de glace. Cela se traduit par une augmentation significative pour notre association. Afin de continuer à offrir le niveau de service, de programmation et de développement des joueurs auquel vous êtes tous habitués, l’AHMR est maintenant obligé d’augmenter les frais d’inscription pour la saison à venir.
En tant qu’association, l’AHMR demeure engagée à offrir des loisirs et à permettre à nos jeunes joueurs de hockey de s’amuser; favoriser la meilleure formation possible pour nos jeunes à court et à long terme; et dans la protection et le maintien des intérêts du hockey mineur. Tous les paiements d’inscription peuvent être effectués en contactant notre registraire Johanne Gamache ET notre trésorier Ross Outhwaite par courriel à registrar@rockland-nats.ca et treasurer@rockland-nats.ca. Si vous avez déjà payé votre dépôt de 100$ et/ou avez encore un remboursement impayé de l’année dernière, nous vous encourageons à contacter notre trésorier afin de connaître votre solde. Nous voulons également informer tout le monde que nous pouvons accepter des plans de paiement, mais ils doivent être discutés avec le trésorier avant d’être convenus.

Comprenant que la dernière année a été difficile pour un certain nombre de familles au sein de notre communauté, l’AHMR s’engage à travailler avec toute famille qui a besoin d’aide pour payer les frais d’inscription. De plus, pour les familles nécessitant de l’aide, il existe plusieurs programmes qui offrent un financement d’aide aux joueurs de sport, l’un de ces programmes serait Bon départ qui peut être trouvé à https://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca.

L’AHMR possède également une quantité limitée de nouvel équipement de hockey qui peut être utilisé par les joueurs qui en ont besoin. Si nécessaire, l’association dispose d’équipements pour les futurs gardiens de but (IP/U9/U11) et pour les joueurs de IP à U11 (patins, casques, gants et bâtons).

L’AHMR travaillera en collaboration avec d’autres entités locales dans l’espoir de faire du lobbying auprès de la Cité de Clarence-Rockland et du CIHA pour réévaluer leurs coûts de location. Si un allégement est fourni par le CIHA, les frais d’inscription seront révisés en conséquence.
